Quick overview of the conference (not info presented)... then I need some sleep.

Friday's advocate meeting ... Heard it was a full house-50 people approximately. Comments were good, presentations many, and MOST of the attendees- over 2/3 estimated- were new advocates and/or first timers. That's great news!

Congratulations and big thanks to the SE PA Lyme Disease Association for organizing and working this event. They did a bang up job!

LDA/Columbia Scientific Conference....

I think it was one of the better conferences we've had so far, if not the best. Full house... excellent speakers with some really good information ... more people showed up than expected!

I liked the "all in one area" set-up like they usually have. Having a second day in the same place was great too. Lots of science the first day and clinical aspects the second. The set-up was nice.

Food was good (too many sweets- but who's complaining?). Full reception afterwards, inside and outside with a view of the river and big boats.

I listened to some, not all, of the presentations. Every one that I heard I learned something from and that is very good news... worth the trip.

Often, those who keep up with the literature and goings on don't always hear "new" stuff... but this time there seemed to be a lot of new information.

One of the presenters asked the audience how many doctors were there. I was shocked at the number of hands that went up. There were 2 animal docs there (vets)... and my guess is about 25-30ish patients/advocates/spouses and the other 160-170 plus were doctors. (Estimated).

I saw a number of ILADS docs there too. Nice to have their support!

I did hear at least 1/2 of the doctors did NOT need to come just for medical credits ... so it meant they were there just to learn!

Rah, rah, rah on that!

I took notes for only a couple of presentations... but saw others keeping good notes, so will ask if I can use some to share here.

Thanks to all the LDA volunteers behind the scenes that made this another wonderful educational event!

Oh... and the best thing...

I got pictures of the bellboys!!!

Thanks for the update. Sounds like a good turnout. Sorry I couldn't make it. The Morris animal shelter is a half a block from me. I wonder if that was one of the vets that attended. Anxious to hear more

did you or anyonelse take notes during the LL gyn presentation?

I would have liked to have attended but was told I could not register for just the Sunday session.
