Hi everyone,

I am about to start Mepron and have a question. I took a tiny amount of it the other day.

When I did, the tip of my tongue really burned. It didn't last long, but I wonder if this is common?

I hope this is not a sign of an allergy.

I ate chips and salsa the other day and noticed that, again, the tip of my tongue was very sensitive to the salsa.

I don't have any white spots on my tongue. I take an anti-fungal as well as a good probitic.

I am also on Bactrim and other supplements as advised by my LLMD.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much! I hope you're all doing well.

I do get a funny sensation on my tongue after taking Mepron, it's hard to describe, but it's never felt like burning.

Sometimes my tongue is a little numb, but most of the time there's no side effect.

I never thought Mepron did much for me, but now realize that over the months that I've been on it, my symptoms have disappeared. I love Mepron!

One other question...

I'm having a hard time measuring out my exact dose. I have a medical dosing spoon and dropper.

The problem is that the Mepron hardens so soon after leaving the bottle. When I pour the amount into the spoon or get it with the dropper,

within seconds it sticks to the inside of either. I'm then getting less than my dose.

Any suggestions? I was told not to use a kitchen measuring spoon...only a medication dosing spoon.

My tongue gets a burning sensation when taking mepron. However a burning tongue is also a symptom I have of one of these tick infections. Comes and goes.
I shake my mepron gently and use a plain ole measuring teaspoon. Little more or a little less wouldn't be significant enough to matter.

Thank you, zil.

I might just do that, as I'm definitely not getting the exact dose the way I'm currently doing things.

Feel well!

I use a kitchen measuring spoon.

I then poor it into a tiny glass bowl,
a mix it together with some peanut butter.

TASTES GREAT!!!!!

and my LLMD said that was okay, since Mepron
works much better when taken with fat.

I use a Kitchen spatula/scraper to get every little bit out of the bowl so that none is wasted at all!
