I went to my PC dr. to see what he has to say about my symptoms.
At first he said could by Lyme (didn't tell him I was already diagnosed cause I wanted him to run the WB test just for my sake, hoping for a positive)but that he would test for it.
Said if test positive then treat with Doxy then if that didn't work IV therapy.
Test was negative and he referred me to Rheumy (which I've seen already, who doesn't put much stock into Lyme Disease).
Anyway, I just got all my blood work back and all bands were non reactive. No surprise there.
But I noticed I was positive for Parvovirus. He didn't even mention that was positive to me.
Was wondering if there was some connection to Lyme Disease. Anyone know?

I've heard of one other person with Lyme who had it. (no symptoms??) Seems to me that if you have Lyme and your immune system is suppressed, then just about anything can "show up."
Hope it doesn't cause you any trouble. It can be a very dangerous thing.

A number of us have tested positive for Parvo B-19 along with Lyme and a number of coinfections.
Agree with Tincup. Parvo B19 is common in people with TBIs.

I was originally diagnosed with Parvo virus and told to get lots of rest and I would recover. My doc put me on Prednisone for the parvo, all it did was make things worse. After that, I was sent to a rheumetologist (sp?). No relief. Then tested me for Lyme, came back negative. After 9-10 months of all that, I found an LLMD who has diagnosed me with Lyme. My advice- go straight to an LLMD. I wish that had done so sooner. I have since found out that the parvo could be something that I had years ago as the antibodies for it will stay in your blood for life, and that's what the test is picking up on. Good luck!

Why is it danderous. My dr just said all testing was fine. Can't believe he didn't address this!

I have my LLMD appt. November 18. Had to wait almost 2 months.
It just disheartened me to see all the negative Lyme bands. No positive. I know most are negative.
My neighbor's son was tested 10 times with Western Blot and all negative.

I guess it's easier to come up positive for Parvo then it is for Lyme. Wonder why??
And I thought only dogs contracted Parvo.

I am positive on the IGG one only.
Just talked to dr.
Which indicates a past infection only.
Probably as a kid.
The IGM indicates present infection and mine was negative.

IGG and IGM do not represent past or present infection with Lyme. This is an incorrect concept for Borrelia infection and may represent a doctor that doesn't understand the disease process.
For Parvovirus IGG and IGM, the past/present logic is more sound.

I had parvo last summer. It manifested as severe joint pain in one joint at a time. The pain was like nothing else -- really really painful. It would only last for a day or two though. Then it would reappear in another joint a few weeks later. This went on for several months, which can be the normal course of parvo.
It eventually changed gears and turned into RA. The pain is less severe but the arthritis is body-wide and has me close to being bedridden.
When the RA came on was when we started testing more and found lyme. My best guess is that I had lyme lying dormant and the parvo weakened me and brought it out.

Sorry guys I have to re-iterate that I was talking about testing positive for the Parvo IGG and was negative on Parvo IGM.
That is why my dr. didn't bother to do anything because the Parvo IGG is from a past infection and will always stay positive.
I wasn't talking about the Lyme test.

Don't put too much faith in the lyme test. Lyme is a "clinical diagnosis".
Chances are that after taking antibiotics for a few months, more bands will show up.
