o My LLMD uses the EOS catiotonic protein as a measuring stick for Babesia. Norm range is 0 - 10. In April, I began treatment with Mepron, Zithromax, Clindamycin, and artemesian. Everything was going well...
o My level dropped to an eight in August. Yeaaaa!
o However, it jumped up to a 10.6 in Sept and 15.5 in October. So disappointing...
o My pancreas levels were in normal range until Sept or Oct. My pancreas Lipase serum levels also jumped to 85 (previously in the high 50's range). My cholesterol levels increased as well.
o Now my doc did throw some major changes my way in August. She took me off 20mg of cortef and placed me on .1 mg of florinef (due to an elevated heart rate). Then she upped my testosterone and my hair fell out. Both changes were a big blow to my immune system (as well as my sanity).
She later added spurnolactone to my regimen since my hair fell out from testosterone overload. It is a mild diuretic that blocks DHT from getting to the hair follicles. Could this have been the culprit? Needless to say I have stopped taking it!! I also have switched back to the cortef and said no way to the testosterone!
o I am also beating myself up because I had two alcohol drinks a week of two before my test in October. Could this have caused damage to my pancrease - two drinks in one year?
o Anyone know why I was making progress and now seem to have taken a nose dive?
o Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I'm devastated!! Just hope that I can stay on the Mepron and get my system back in balance.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the testing. I know I felt worse before I got better with babesia.

don't worry about the testing... I know it's confusing. Just the fact that my babesia is getting worse instead of better. Thanks for your reply.
