Daughter restarted Mino end of Aug. seemed like she had a herx three weeks later.

Started off with 250mg of Biaxin end of Sept. I feel she is herxing last few days.

Last few days, just told me today, she says vision feels weird. Does not know how to explain it.

She says it feels like maybe her eyes are crossed eyed and like looking through a tunnel.

She has been very fatigued, weepy, depressed, headaches, achy.

Tried looking through past post, but did not find anything on on my daughters description of eye issues.

Thanks

Visual stuff can be the most horrible part of Lyme. It is very isolating, and leads to a feeling of unreality or dreamlike states. Mine is similar to what your daughter mentions, and was also increased by Mino.

I think it is something like an optic disfunction, not sure of the term. Mine personally is a problem with eye teaming, as in the eyes do not coordinate in the task of seeing. So, in effect, the brain is processing two separate pieces of information. Makes the day very exhausting.

This may be what your daughter is experiencing. It is hard to put into words, so I am not sure.

If your insurance covers it, you might try vision therapy. It helped me, then the insurance stopped covering it, so I had to stop.

Good luck to you.

Any of this ring a bell? If so, minocycline may be affecting her inner/middle ear (vestibular system):

VESTIBULAR SYMPTOMS

===============================

If so, or even if not for the vision, Liver support can help with the herx symptoms she is experiencing.

of the way down page one, there are lots of LIVER LINKS:

Liver support, other nutritional supplements are essential to help reduce the herx, however, for eyes, the specific resting and focus exercises here may be of some comfort along the way.

YOGA FOR YOUR EYES

It's nice to see what it's like on You Tube and then purchase for your daily use with your DVD player. You Tube denies him of his rightful due for all his research and work.

The DVD is very affordable - about the cost of one supplement - it's just about $20. and you get a book with it, too. The DVD is also much easier on your eyes - from your TV at a distance. The computer screen is much harder on eyes.
