You might want to consider EHS as part of your problem. I had the shortness of breath symptom with it...

First things first. See a pulmonologist.

I've certainly had this. Turned out to be asthma.

I have shortness of breath, it can be a symptom of babesia. Have you been tested?

I would take a still take a pulmonary function test. It's quick and easy. it's also more accurate at detecting actuall respiratory issues than a babesia test is at testing for babs.

Another thing to note is that if you're getting "air hunger" for babs you may display other symptoms of anemia .. and you would infact have a low RBC count.

Again, someone experiencing babs air hunger would have a normal pulse ox and a normal pulmonary function test, but a low rbc count and a positive babs antibody. So it's pretty easy to differentiate.
