Im getting aggravated because I dont know if I have active lyme or not. im waiting for more results to come back from my LLMD. but its annoying and it needs to hurry up
I tested IGM positive for lyme last november . i never had any sympoms and I was given 200 mg of doxy for like 6 months straight. during those 6 months I never felt a SINGLE SYMPTOM. at all., healthy as a horse.
I had been off the doxy for like 5 months and i woke up one day just not feeling good. it like happened over nite. my head felt out of it and my eyes felt tired. all my blood work was coming back fine. assumed it was viral
here we are two months later and I still feel like ****. head feels out of it and eyes feel sore,. almost like allergies. but I dont have allergies.
I know the elisa test is worthless but it keeps coming back equivocal. i still have IGM and IGG positive for just bands 41 and 23. its been that way for months. i tested positive for very low levels of IGG bart quint and bart hens. but they were very low levels. no other co infections
I was healthy as a horse during the time I supposedly had lyme disease. I never got symptoms I just got tested ... [TMI again... edited by Lymetoo ]
I feel like ive had a virus now for 2 months. no fever no throwing up. I dont want to disasaterize and just assume my stupid lyme is coming back after a year. could this just be viral. My LLMD said lyme doesnt usually manifest like this. it almost seems like i just have some kind of bad virus, because i just seem sickkkk.
SOMEONE HELPPPPPP

I am so sorry... I accidentally deleted the other thread.. Intending to delete THIS duplicate one.
But YES, Lyme disease can come back a year later, two yrs later, or 20 yrs later.
I would say you need to get treated if you are having symptoms.

YES!
My little girl fought Lyme for a year and a half starting back in 2007. She was asymptomatic for a whole year before her symptoms came creeping back.
She now, once again, has full blown Lyme symptoms. Makes me so scared for her future, and worried that she may NEVER be free of this wretched illness. Posted by sparkle7 (Member # 10397) on :
It might not be Lyme - it might be something else. Not everything that has symptoms of Lyme is Lyme... The symptoms are similar to alot of other conditions.
Could be CFS, a co-infection, Fibromyalgia or a number of other things. Sorry you are ill. There are no easy answers with all of these types of illnesses.
Good luck.

It's very likely that it's back thou I hope not. The best way to know is to get back on ABX. If you have a reaction/improvement that will tell you what you want to know. It's killing off something, most likely Lyme and co's.

It could be a co-infections like babesia coming out. Check all the symptoms of the co-infections to see if any of them ring a bell.

I was in treatment for two years 1999-2001.
Then last summer (2009).. wham.... back in treatment for over a year now.
Co infections are the hardest to treat. Remission can be had... and you can come out of remission like I did.

It sounds like possible co-infections were never treated. Maybe that's what's stirring up.
If you don't have total confidence in your LLMD, maybe try a new one.
Total side note -- any chance that you had some dental work done recently? I've been hearing quite a bit about dental work and lyme, etc. Just a thought.
Best to you, Tammy

My daughter's LLMD (a very well known MD in MO)said he had great confidence, when he released her from his care, that he would never have to see her again.
He felt that her Lyme and co-infections were gone.
Unfortunately, they were not. Lyme is a very tricky illness.
