Myself have been treating lyme for the past year and a half, and labs have all but shown Positive ANA and Speckled...
My daughter is curently being treated for past 4 months and her test came back Positive ANA
and my son who does not have lyme his ANA titer came back positive??
Is there any link between having LYME and Positive ANA results. I've read that you can get a positive result if your on abx and or fighting a bacterial infection...

My ANA test results have been mixed. One time positive, another time negative. Lyme patients do have some autoimmune markers, possibly because we have intracellular chronic infections that the immune system is trying to reach. There have also been published reports of ketes cloaking themselves in our own tissue, which would also lead to autoimmune markers presumably.

- First, have the test redone. Maybe have a more sensitive test for clarification. And do a web search on causes of positive ANA.
The ANA test is often positive with lyme (and maybe with other infections, too?). Most regular doctors (and even rheumatologists) are unaware of the lyme connection. And there are other chronic infections to consider.
1984 - and for decades later:
I had some positive ANA, some speckled and some normal.
I was told I had a connective tissue disorder of some type, likely Lupus. They told me there was nothing I could do about it. They were wrong about so many things.
After decades of illness, 1997:
I testing positive for lyme, babesia, human monocytic ehrlichia.
2009: positive for active chronic Cpn, HHV-6, Coxsackie B. -

How positive is positive? I am 1:640 and my youngest son is 1:80. We both had undiagnosed Lyme for many years. It can trigger an autoimmune reaction. I was incorrectly diagnosed with lupus at a major medical system in Michigan and never tested for Lyme. It will be interesting to see if it corrects itself after treatment. Best wishes!

I have had a positive ANA before, and it was speckled too. I was told by a rheumatologist it would likely manifest as either lupus or CREST.
My positive ANA did go away on its own, long before I considered lyme or lyme treatment. I had the test re-run quite a few times after that one positive result and it was always negative afterwards. I had another rheumatologist tell me that inflammation could result in a positive ANA test.
I looked into the speckled ANA connection to lyme about 6 months ago, just out of curiosity and there was definitely a connection. I think the article I read even stated something to the effect that lyme disease should be ruled out if someone has a speckled ANA. So I would not worry about this at all!
