When my Quest test came back IGM positive (over a year ago), it indicated that it was a reportable illness. However, we did a follow-up through Igenex, and I started seeing LLMD instead of neuro who ordered the test. How do I know if it was ever reported and if it was followed up on if it was confirmed as a lyme case (my neuro isn't sure if she believes it's lyme)?

Since the neurologist who did your test didn't know if she "believed" it was lyme, it probably was not reported - as they do not consider IgM positive to matter. That was my experience in Oregon. Totally discounted. We know better, though.

The CDC doesn't care. Mine was CDC IgG positive (8 bands) and the doctor didn't report it. I called the CDC and they didn't care that it wasn't reported. They told me that if I wasn't happy with my doctor to find a new one.
