Wondering what to do if doxy makes you puke?

I don't know, but I hope you're taking it in the middle of a big meal.
Less likely to puke then. (let's hope)

Agree with Lymetoo. I am on Doxy and take it in the middle of a big meal, and it prevents the nausea.

If you are taking the capsules, try the doxy tablets. I find they are much easier to tolerate than the capsules.

Yes it does! is all I can say. Yikes. Had a bad exp. this weekend with it and am realizing "take WITH food" literally means WITH a meal!! I had eaten within the hour of taking it even and ended up with severe abdominal pain within an hour-1/2!
I was in so much pain last night after throwing up once, I asked my husband to call an ambulance. I seriously had no idea what hit me.
It went away before I was seen at the ER, quick as it came. I can think of nothing else than the Doxy that would have done that! I had gotten sick on it before, but nothing like this.
Now, I must be super careful to eat with a meal. So many times I'm in a rush and take it running out the door. And even if you're "not hungry" doesn't mean your stomach is full enough to tolerate the meds, I guess.

You learned a valuable lesson, tiredmama! If you want to keep your stomach, take with a meal. (in the middle is best)
Also, if you can't tolerate it even then, ask for Doryx. It's much more expensive but if you have insurance it's worth it! WAY easier on the stomach.
