My tick bite was a long time ago. One day I got Bell's Palsy, and then two weeks later I was sicker than I've ever been.

I've read acute onset can be related to co-infections, and I'm wondering what your experiences were.

I'm mostly concerned about a relapse because I never had gradual worsening of symptoms. One day I was fine. The next I wasn't.

What I'm dealing with now is simply regrowth of what I treated by the CDC guidelines with doxy last year. it didnt kill all of it. and it grew back

i literally woke up one morning in september feeling like crap. mostly my eyes and head. thought I was coming down with something. after two months i felt worse. not bed ridden but just out of it and sick feeling

ive been treating one week. herxed alot. now im starting to feel better. but my stomach is all messed up now for some reason [Frown]

very abrupt onset of symptoms for myself. Tick bite to scalp end of Nov, 2009 MS type symptoms 2 weeks later and brain lesions on MRI 6 weeks later.

Improving with treatment.

This should be an easy question to answer, but for me it's complex.

Yes, I would say that I had a sudden onset of some really weird, acute sx that I never got rid of.

I got steadily sicker till I was dx'ed and began tx for lyme and ehrlichia.

Now looking back, I realize that I had some nagging sx that may or may not have been related to lyme and co.

I'll never know whether those nagging sx were something unrelated or not, but I know that since they weren't severe enough to try to find a cause or a cure, I g=ignored them.

I agree with Starfall. I worked thru whatever popped up next...Because they could not find what was wrong each time....Until I could no more...Took over 2 yrs for me...

But I believe it is what all the patient has,

virus', parasites, etc. that determines what all symptoms they have and how they progress...

We simply do not know because no one has done studies like this.

I have grown to believe if you don't treat everything you have---

because the borrelia have genetic capabilities to assimilate other organisms---

you will not get well...
