So the end of last week I had some kind of virus--fever, fatigue, achy, stuffy nose, fluid in ears. Felt crappy all weekend in that respect.

Today I woke up and the other sx are gone, but now I'm left with absolute mind-numbing fatigue. I haven't been this fatigued since I started with lyme--and I thought it was bad last week.

It's so bad I shake when I stand up.

I figure the virus has things stirred up, as well as my immune system being pummeled. Anything I can take to boost myself quickly?

Coconut Oil.

It is antiviral, antibacterial, and provides a huge amount of energy with lots of fats as medium chain fatty acids.

It is pure energy, that is easily assimilated into the body.

Thanks Dan. I'll have to get some of that.

I had to volunteer at my son's school this morning, and boy, do my knees ache since we're back home.

Joint pain is not something I deal with anymore, so it's bothering me. [Frown]

i also have a throat infection that started 6 wks ago. im still so tired i have to stay in bed all day. cant even stand.

one doc thinks its ebv, 3 other are sure its not ebv.

maybe an infection of the heart muscle?

got my blood tested for viruses today again and am looking forward to see the results.

I had exactly the same thing and same reaction! I believe I picked it up in the airport going to see the LLMD two weeks ago.

It started with feeling very tired and then developed into cold symptoms with sneezing, runny nose, cough, hoarse voice and slight sore throat. I also had dizziness at times and pressure in my head and teeth.

Now I am getting better but so weak I cannot exert myself to do anything.

I started Mepron at the same time that all the cold symptoms came on and I could not tell what was causing what.

Hope we all recover soon!

how are you now, starfall?

THings kind of calmed down for a few days, but I'm back to feeling fatigued, and my air hunger is acting up again.

Of course, I'm stressing a little because of end of semester stuff--getting papers graded, getting grades in, etc.

And the family stresses with Christmas... [Razz]

Yes, stress can not help.

Don't forget strep. Drink water, get plenty of sleep, wash your hands. I'm saying this so I'll do this too. [Cool]

I had a bad virus two years ago. It knocked me for a loop for about 6 weeks, even though the initial symptoms had left.

It could be that it aggravated my EBV or HHV6 titers or some other viral infection.

Eventually, it passed. Just do things to bring your body back - get enough rest, eat well, and take olive leaf and/or lauricidin.

IMO,
CherylSue

My older son (no lyme, as far as we know) and I were down with the fever and general viral sx last week.

It pretty much went away, but now my son is running a fever again and NOW has the chest congestion and cough, which he didn't have last time. I don;t feel exactly right either.

I can't tell if it's the same virus or if it's a different one. And no, none of us believe in flu shots--the doctor is always on me about that.

Oh, this flu season already stinks!

My son and I (both Lyme) went through the same thing during Thanksgiving. We are better but still having side effects...it seems when we get sick it just hits us so much harder and last so much longer.

As for the flu shot...I used to get them starting a few years back but now my LLMD advises me against it

I didnt get one last year or this year
