Really confused about the findings. The results say--"The number of NK cells is above normal limits" and "The activity of NK cells is within nornmal limits".
Why is one elevated and not the other? This is really confusing to me.
Does this mean I might have an active virus and not lyme????

I think what this is saying, is that you have an ELEVATED number of NK cells--which is normal for someone fighting infection--but the ones you have, are functioning normally.
Some people have normal amounts of NK cells, or less or more, whathaveyou, but yet these NK cells are not functioning correctly; this is not the case for you
It is very possible that you are fighting a virus in addition to the Lyme (if you know you have Lyme). As far as ticks go, they very often carry viruses as well as bacteria, so that wouldn't be uncommon, and chronic Lyme can result in reactivation of latent viruses. I'd definitely ask your doctor about it and see if wants ot do further testing.
