Just wondering if anyone has tried Teasel Root tincture for Lymes. There is a little information online about it but not much. It basically is supposed to alter the environment of the bacteria and allow it to be susceptible to your immune system.

Teasel did nothing for me and I wasted several months on it. However, for some it does help to varying degrees. Some found it of great help. So, it tends to be a very individual thing and certainly worth a try. If you'd like to compare and contrast many of the complementary options:

I have a friend who is giving it to her teen-aged daughter and it seems to be helping her symptoms.

I used it for several months, without any results. Not saying it doesn't work...just didn't work for me.

One of the LLMD's I saw said teasal root, andrographis and cat's claw are the most effective herbs to use against lyme. I have not tried it yet but it is in my medicine cabinet waiting for it's turn.

I tried it in past... didn't really seem to help me either but I am willing to give it another try down the road. I was only taking 2-3 drops a day (as I was afraid of herx).

Someone told me about it in a lyme support group...they said they knew someone it was helping..

so...guess it just goes to show...we are all so different.

But it isnt very expensive so I would say its worth a try..who knows....good luck (:

P.S. I got mine off internet and I think the brand name was "tincture of teasel" by darcy from the forest

I have been using goji juice (which someone else recommended) and also just plain MSM which does seem to help me more

I started using it about 6 months ago. Just ONE drop created a really powerful herx that kept me out of work a day or so.

I've gradually increased my dosage, and I'm now up to almost 30 drops a day. I'm seeing some old symptoms surface that I hadn't seen or experienced since I was first diagnosed 5 years ago.

I got my teasel root from my llmd but if you'd like to know the brand, send me a pm, and I'll get it for you.

The other tincture I've started incorporating is banderol. Not sure what that may be doing, but with that, I can only handle a drop or two.

I agree that these things probably work for some people and have absolutely no impact on others. We really are very different.

But I wish you much success. As I said, trying this type of treatment has given me a lot of hope for continued recovery.
