Seeing LLMD in two weeks, but curious as to some things now...

Like I mentioned in a prior post, my case was disseminated, I can move around, and my biggest issue seems to be fatigue. Headaches come and go. I have neck/upper back pain when I touch my chin to my chest.

I thought i was better until I started to get exercise fatigue and severe DOMS and head rushes when I sat up or sat down. That said, my diet is getting progressively more strict... But I feel like exercise still gets me tired, and I'm forgetting more and more it seems.

I also have a feeling of, I wouldn't say doom, but disinterest in everything. Every day is the same, and I don't care. In public I am a shell of my former self. It takes energy to be around people.

I thought I was looking at a babesia infection until last night. I ate some dairy-free, wheat-free and gluten free sea crackers (basically flaxseed and kombu) with homemade guacamole (just avacados, lemon and sea salt), and something called Royal Himilayan Incan Berries (dried gooseberries).

A little while later when I sat down in bed to read, my stomach felt bloated, discombobulated, and I could belch at will. It's like I had an inexhaustable supply.

I feel gross even writing about it. I woke up the next morning hungover, with a white-tinted tongue, and took 3 naps over the course of the day. I look very tired. Like crackhead after a bender tired. I was going to work out today, but I was tired, and demotivated. I am taking Diflucan and a reputedly strong probiotic... Can anyone relate to the symptoms I've described?

According to Dr. B/ILADS guidelines, or something I read somewhere, are we supposed to exercise every 2 days even in the face of fatigue? I feel like exercise digs me a cumulative debt of fatigue, but if I was confident it was orthodoxy never to miss, I would be more gung ho about it.

In other news, there is a woman that is flying out to LA to see me for New Years. I'm worried about giving this to her a. sexually, and b. through kissing.

It seems on this board that there is not a definitive consensus on whether we're contagious or not... what I'm wondering is: can I appreciably lower the chances of contagion by slamming my body with Doxy or Amox a few hours before we're slated to meet?

Again, all thoughts welcome. Thanks.

Up for answers... sorry too many different questions and topics for me to respond in one sitting.

One hint... look up "leaky gut".

Night!

Your symptoms sound like you could have a parasitic/worm infection. Google parasite symptoms and then do a search on here by typing parasites into the search bar at the top. And yes, you can definitely pass this on to your friend.

thanks-- i'll look into parasites and leaky gut. both sound like a hoot.

Tincup, what does "up for answers" mean? I see that a lot, people writing "up" or "bump" in posts... it's a message board thing i never understood...

It will keep moving your message up so people will continue to see it...otherwise if know one responds it will get buried eventually going to page 2 and therefore chances get slimmer of getting many responses.

By typing something in the message portion it moves your message back up to the top.

Your symptoms sound sooooo much like mine on my bad days...bloating, the white-coated tongue, belching, a wooshing sound in my ear (usually my right), lack of motivation, anti-social behavior...

Sometimes I've found kefir helps my symptoms. Other times they get worse on kefir. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it?

I am hoping to get a book on amino acids though soon which claims you can fix anything using the various amino acids...The Healing Nutrients Within: Facts, Findings, and New Research on Amino Acids. Might want to look that book up.

I definitely have found certain foods to be triggers, and by what foods seem to help and hurt (though without reading the book), I believe lysine, tryptophan, threonine, and methionine might be ones I need to try supplementing.

The only one I'm nervous about supplementing is the methionine because of the Alzheimer's risk, which runs in my family, so I have to research that one more before starting it...

Here is an excellent website though regarding the amino acids that are present in the body and what they do. If you scroll to the bottom, there is an individual list of aminos you can click on...

Wish I had more advice.

WHICH probiotic are you taking and how many CFU's in each pill?

Makes a big difference...

here are two of the best:

VSL#3
http://www.vsl3.com/order.asp

Theralac
www.theralac.com

I would take at least 100 CFU's per day. VSL has about 110 in each pill. More if you use the powder form.

As for giving her Lyme, use a condom. My husband has never gotten it from me and we've been married for 37+ yrs.
