IGM

31 kDa ++
41 kDa IND
83-93 kDa IND

IGG

30 kDa +
39 kDa IND
41 kDa +++

Igenex negative
CDC negative

B. duncani-negative

IGM <1:20
IGG <1:40

B. microti-negative

IGM <1:20
IGG <1:40

Results according to dr are that I DO clearly have babesia and also Lyme disease.

I still find these results disapointing. I know they often come out this way but it is frustrating psychologically and financially.

I have questions about future treatment and testing that I will post in a different thread.

What are your thoughts as to the lyme results?

If you are questioning the results, you can have a band 30/31 confirmation test which will show that those bands are showing due to Lyme Disease and not something else.

Not sure if you have seen this, but may be good for reference.

9 cross-reactive for Borrellia
12 specific for Bb
18 unknown
20 cross-reactive for Borrellia
21 unknown
22 specific for Bb, probably really the 23/25 band
23-25 outer surface protein C (OspC), specific for Bb
28 unknown
30 unknown; probably an outer surface protein; common in European and
one California strain
31 outer surface protein A (OspA), specific for Bb
34 outer surface protein B (OspB); specific for Bb
35 specific for Bb
37 specific for Bb
38 cross-reactive for Bb
39 is a major protein of Bb flagellin; specific for Bb
41 flagellin protein of all spirochetes; this is usually the first to appear after a Bb infection and is specific for all Borrellia
45 cross-reactive for all Borellia (sometimes people with Lyme who have
this band positive also have the co-infection Ehrlichiosis)
50 cross-reactive for all Borrellia
55 cross-reactive for all Borrellia
57 cross-reactive for all Borrellia
58 unknown but may be a heat-shock Bb protein
60 cross reactive for all Borrellia
66 cross-reactive for all Borrelia, common in all bacteria
83 specific antigen for the Lyme bacterium, probably a cytoplasmic membrane
93 unknown, probably the same protein in band 83, just migrates differently in some patients

Well, no I am not questioning the results on band 30/31 just wish there were more positives so I could feel more confident and my sceptical husband could have a stronger proof. For my insurance company it would be good to have positive babesia. I have to do more tests for that.

Thanks Fuel, that is really interesting about banc 30 being a California strain.

What are you symptoms?

Why are you so sure you have lyme and babs?

You have some strong bands and an important "IND" on the DNA of the Bb.

Print this out and read it several times. It will explain a lot of things!

3030-the dr thought my response to the anti-biotics and artemensinin were very important concerning Babesia.

These are the symptoms that increased:

headaches daily (off and on all day)
floaters
nausea/dizziness
night sweats (every night and much more drenched)
feeling unwell and needing to lay in bed a lot

I'm not so sure of anything BTW I didn't even think I had Babesia but could tell the dr had seen and heard this many times before from patients.

TuTu thank you for the strong band message and I will print out the above and read when i am up to it.

You're welcome! It's a very important thing to read!

If you are not satisfied you can retest after challenge.

But for me--you have it and more. And that is what I would treat.

Don't forget to keep away yeasts and keep your bowels in good working order for the best results.
