Husbands LLMD is going to start rocephin iv again with an oral abx. had it b4 without oral abx. heres the problem...he's been getting weaker since he started abx 6 months ago. no matter which one it is. how do you know if its a herx or what? he's felt like crap so long he doesn't know what it is to feel good. he had an ALS dx 4 years ago (could be wrong) so this adds to the problem. Does your LLMD do regular blood tests?
How are WBC, AMC, AST and ALT?
My son was the same way... getting weaker and sicker on abx. WBC dropped (which is related to ANC... also dropped) while Liver function tests (ALT and AST) were rising.
I found (and my son's LLMD agrees) that this all points to an underlying condition that needs to be addressed before lyme can be gotten rid of. HPU / KPU
This is a major zinc deficiency that also causes deficiencies in glutathione, HCL (stomach acid) B6, B12 and other trace minerals.
