As i've mentioned in previous posts i seem to cycle between feeing 85% better and feeling 60% better.

One of my main symptoms now is back pain. It feels like muscular pain in the mid to lower area of my back focused around my spine.

It usually comes bundled along with hot flashes and this general sick feeling.

It happens on meds and off meds.

Any thoughts?

I've had that since I started herbal therapy, almost every day. I asked if it was bart, not too many responses, one said more lyme...Maybe you want to look up my previous post to see, I'm not sure how to refer right back to it. Feel better.

I have had the same thing although not now. I can't tell you what it was, only that I recently tested positive for babesia but negative for bart. The hot flashes I had seemed to be related to bart because I did not have sweating but now I sweat - pretty classic babesia symptoms have emerged.

But treating bartonella is what got rid of the back pain! It felt muscular, not in the joints. I also had cramping in unusual places which was so severe at times it hurt for weeks afterwards as though a ligament had been torn. That is all gone now.

interesting.

I tested negative to Bart.

could it just be lyme?

Thanks guys,

Anyone else have any experience? Fatigue, lower back pain and headaches?

Hoping this is just lyme .. tested negative to pretty much everything else.

Yes...fatigue, headaches, neck pain, arm pain, back pain and leg pain. It feels like my whole spine is

flaring up. The pain is very sharp and "nervy". Not sure how else to describe it. I'm treating

Lyme and Babs right now with herbs. Taking a break from abx. Sorry I don't have any advice for you...

Hope it goes away soon. Most of my symptoms seem to cycle so I'm waiting for this cycle to end..soon I hope!

Pretty sure it's Bart for me. I too tested Negative. But now I'm sure I have it due to herxing from treating it...and some pain symptoms actually starting to get better-my back still hurts a lot SOMETIMES but not ALL the time like before I started treating bart.

Still have the symptoms though, not gone completely. So I will keep treating, have been treating since oct.

As far as cycling between 85% and 60%, that variation in health was very common for me when I first got sick. I never knew how I was going to feel and that went on for several years. I'm sure your good periods will increase as you treat appropriately.

Before I had all over body pain (and I do mean everywhere) I would get pain moving around to different areas on a regular basis. It eventually came and never left. Back then I didn't know I had lyme. My back was a fairly common area for pain. Taking branched chain amino acids helped a lot. I don't know if it would help anyone else. Also getting trigger points worked out can make a huge difference if they are part of your problem.

A negative test for bartonella means nothing because there are so many strains that are not included in the testing. I tested negative but got the long bart streaks on my side after starting treatment for lyme. They went away after a fairly extended stint on levaquin.
