Don't know if this is the place to ask this, but I don't feel like a fiasco with a doctor this morning.

I had what I believe to be a stomach bug the past 3 days--no vomiting, but some diarrhea and a lot of stomach pain when I'd eat, fatigue, chills...

So I pretty much wasn't eating, just liquids, and no abx.

This morning I'm trying to eat again, but I've been feeling really weird--my heart is racing (I checked, pulse is 120 bpm while resting, very unusual), and I feel lightheaded.

Is it possible for low blood sugar to affect heart rate? I'm thinking it has to be something of that nature given that I've hardly taken anything in the past few days.

Hey Star, I have experienced similar symptoms for a year now. My

heart rate at times shot to 137. It's from the co infection, most

likely babs. Are you treating for co infections ?

I'm treating for ehrlichia.

LLMD wanted to start abx for babs, but I'm allergic to the ones they use. I am taking artemisinin, but I've been off everything for a few days because of the bug.

Your electrolytes can get messed up if you don't eat. That affects the heart.

Well I have babs, and I was not treating it. My symptoms were

pots like.
Fast heart rate
blood preasure spiks
fainting spells
Chest pains

I could not leave me bedroom, could not breath.

the first stages of these symptoms were a fast heart rate.

ONCE I STARTED TREATING FOR BABS, I started to feel better

daily. I am 50 percent there in a months time.

There are alternatives to treating babs, that you should look

into.I am on Mepron and zith. I promise you once you start

treating babs any possible way , these symptoms will ease up.

God Bless you .
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Artemisinin I hear is good. Get back on that. Maybe look into doing a parasite cleanse.

My money's on dehydration. Your potassium is probably low. Dehydration will cause fast heart rate and high blood pressure. Eat a banana, or potato, or if you can't face those, even a bottle of Gatorade or get some electrolyte packets. If that's what it is, you will get relief pretty quickly.

Also salt pills have lowered my heart rate. Seasalt.

drink coconut water..it has over 600mg of potassium....also magnesium glycinate and yes sea salt. if it continues get your electrolytes checked !!!!
