My constellation of symptoms -see the list below- have slowly emerged since last Oct, which eventually leads me to an LLMD last month. In the last 3 months I've been scratching my head and wondering WHAT IS WRONG with me. After knowing that LD shares symptoms with many others such as MS, PD or ALS, guess how worried I am.
I just got back that results from LabCorp and Quest today, and still waiting for the IgeneX Western Blot.
Mycoplasma Pneumoniae AB IgG: 2.4H, reference range <0.9
Mycoplasma Pneumoniae AB IgM: negative
So looks like I've got Mycoplasma positive. At least that's better than not knowing what's happening. I am still waiting for the Western Blot for Lyme.
What concerns me is my low WBC. The test is before abx, so is not because of the abx. My question is, could Lyme/Co-infections cause such low WBC? My co-infections test for Bart is negative. Babesia or Erlichia is not tested. I am also aware that Erlichia can cause low WBC.
My second question is, with such low WBC, can I still take abx for treatment?

symptoms: started with a flu-like symptom in 10/10
Migratory pains in left leg/arm, sometimes to right side too, but mostly on the left, lower back, neck, and shoulder; Muscle tension around head;
Muscle twitching; tingling and itching;
Lightheaded, slightly blurry vision, feels like lack of depth of field, pain inside right ear, slight hearing loss in the right ear; Ringing in ears; Ear crackling sound when swallows, mostly on the right ear;
Slight tremoring of left hand; slight trigger fingers on the left hand;
After eating, feels like food is stuck in my chest for a while, and a chest pain is associated with it;
Night sweats 3/4 nights a week;
Just last night, found multiple locations of scratch-like rash on my back.

Not so sure about the WBC question; although mine is borderline low and has been since I was diagnosed in February of 2010.

Air hunger and chest pain has been expressed in several different ways as a symptom of Babesia. Sweating at night is a very common Babesia symptom.

My daughter's WBC was about the same as yours before starting treatment. She has been able to take antibiotics. Her LLMD's have always viewed it as a symptom of her illness.
Hers still ranges from about 3.2 to 4.2.

I would look into HPU (a.k.a. KPU) before attempting antibiotics. Low WBC can be an indicator of this. We did not know this when we started treating my son and his WBC kept going down with treatment until we finally had to take him off all abx and re-evaluate. You sound like you have bartonella!! have your doctor check you for that or other bartonella organisms. i have the food stck in the chest feeling too... do u get heartburn or having any other swallowing issues... i have tested positive \for lyme and bartonella!

The report from Quest shows negative for all Bart strains. I emailed the pictures of the rashes to my LLMD, and she said it could be Bart too. That's confusing. But what's good at least, I confirm that I have mycoplasma. Seems like Doxy could kill both Mycoplasma and Bart. Wrong?
As for swallowing, I have no problem passing food through my throat. The problem is they spend a long time going down my chest.
I have ear ringing and eye irritation (kind of feels like inflammation). I heard that's also Bart symptoms.
