Just wanted to see if people out west know about how much Lyme is in San Luis Obisbo CA.

Have a cousin out there that seems to have multiple symptoms and was just dx with fibro.

I'm in San Luis Obispo, CA. We definitely have Lyme here, although our county is not classified as endemic by the state - yet.

We have a monthly support group. I would be happy to talk to your cousin if you want to PM me.

BTW, we are fortunate to have a LLND here who is a very good diagnostician.

There is Lyme EVERYWHERE. I think its absurd when people think there isnt. I travel with my dog across the country all the time-- it would take 5 hours for me to take Lyme from California to any US state, and thats just civilian passengers, not to mention food/ cargo shipments from all over the world that have creepy crawlies in them.

At least you have a decent Dr in that area who she could go see. I don't know if it's the same person 4Seasons is referring to. I thought he was an LLMD, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yes, Lyme is everywhere!!!

I was in San Luis Obispo one time. I LOVE saying that name!! Rolls off the tongue! [Smile]

I was on Vancouver Island the same year I was in San Luis Obispo! [Cool] About 25 yrs ago.
