Hi All Just wondering before I head to Doctors on Monday, I have been on doxy for 12 days, relapsed on Day 4, and then gradually symptoms got better, still have some, but not as severe, but I still have this not able to get full breathe feeling, and periodically stabbing pains in chest or sometimes in shoulder, and ice cold feet and hands, and some pins and needles..wondering if its a co infection ? Also notice reddish/purple "claw" marks on belly, but very faint, I know they aren't stretch marks, my stomach never had this and it seems to be fading each day?? My heart was completely checked out echo, ekg, labs, xray three of chest clean....any thoughts?? From what I read doxy can slow the bacteria but not fight it in co infections. Thanks to everyone

Definitely look into Babesia, you have a lot of the same symptoms as me and I just recently tested positive. I highly reccomend the Igenex FISH test, as well as the Babesia antibody tests they offer.
Also, many say the "claw" marks could be an indication of Bartonella. You should get some extensive testing for these coinfections.

Get checked for babesia and bartonella for sure.
You did not relapse... you had a herx (Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction).
Hope your dr's appointment goes well!! Posted by quicksilvermom (Member # 29949) on :
thanks for the info, just wondering what is the harm in just treating all three just in case? Sounds extreme, but if its at all possible why not kill it all?

Make sure to tell your LLMD these symptoms.
It seems obvious to me that you could have Bartonella and Babesia.
If your doc is ILADS trained, he should know what to do. Trust him.
The whole process is gradual so try to be patient.
