That's interesting. I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia, but recently diagnosed with Lyme (November).
I used to take D-Ribose to help with energy levels and it seemed to work well for that.
...BUT, I haven't taken it since my Lyme diagnosis because I wondered if it would be a problem with yeast. It is a sugar, so I just stayed away from it.
Wonder if anybody has any input on wether or not D-Ribose is safe to take when taking lots of Abx.???
I'm currently on Flagyl, Biaxin, Amoxycillin, Plaquenil.

D-ribose gave me my sleep back after 15 years of horrific insomnia. I don't think I could take all these abx and go through all this herxing without my D-ribose.
As it is not glucose, it does not affect blood sugar. I would know, as I am severely glucose intolerant/insulin resistant.
I don't think it contributes to yeast, either.

Hmm..... another thing I have sitting in my cabinet collecting dust. I have so many things that I have tried over the years. I can't recall how this worked for me. Maybe I'll dust it off and give it another try. More energy, and good sleep sounds like a winner to me.
So glad it's working for you Greek. Posted by iamgreek (Member # 29517) on :
