Grrr so I did my first injection of Rocephin last night and I was starting to get mild vertigo about 3 hours after.
Today I feel like I am floating and super dizzy. What to do? Do I do another one or just stop taking it?
I took ceftin for a month and it caused the same reaction. From my understanding it is in the same family as Rocephin "cephalosporins" so I am thinking it is because of that...?
The purpose of the IM is to see how I tolerate the drug then go on IV. What other drugs can I take using IV?
Thank you all,
Kuda

Could this be part of a herx? Keep up the liver support.
You could skip a day, and see if you feel better. That gives the liver time to catch up with detoxifying the neurotoxins left by the dead Lyme bacteria.

i know everybody does similar and differing regimens that work for them, and I think I have it covered, but would like to hear from other folks!
thanks

Hello Carol,
Thank you for the reply, is catsclaw good or bad for liver support?
Hey Clueless,
Good luck seeking out detox methods. I am sorry I don't really have anything...

hi kuda pants ;-) hope you get undizzy soon! for liver detox try methyl b12 nasal spray and glutathione cream. However, I'm not sure that's your issue here.....best bet ask your LLMD :-)

hey lymekuda,
hope you are acclimating/adjusting to the IM shots
my husband has had almost 2 weeks IV, and he gets a little floaty, but just really tired- also hand/arm symptoms- rigidity, tingly seem to be exacerbated too! maybe a little herxing? dunno?
what is your Roc intake? don't think intamuscular can be given at more than 2 grams..... you wouldn't be able to sit for a LONG time... ouch!!
