Anything i should know?

Always take at least 3 hours away from abx.. Start slow and watch for symptoms. I ramped up to 10 drops over 1 week and didn't feel much of anything until I hit those 10 drops and wow! Spaciness and headaches 24-7..

I backed down to 5 drops and am only up to 7 now. Give it time to show any improvement. If you don't notice anything within the first month, it's possible you have another dominant infection that needs to be addressed.

Sydetox should be taken as well.

Keep us posted on your progress!

thanks for the advice. i do have sydetox as well.

My Dr. said it's fine to take with abx?

he said take a-l 15 min before meal and take abx after meal.

what's the reasoning behind the 3 hour wait?

Read all the info on www.bioresourceinc.com Click on Byron White. The info says to take away from abx. I am taking A-Bab & A-Bart. 1 drop kicked my butt so go slow, and ramp up,but please read all the info. Be sure to shake bottle well, put in sm amount of water, hold in mouth 1 min and swallow. I haven't taken A-L.

I would think the abx would affect the absorption of the formulas. Here is the excerpt from the Byron White Frequently Asked Questions:

How far apart should antibiotics be taken from the BWFs?

If the person is taking oral antibiotics, it is preferable that the antibiotic
be taken first, then wait 3 hours before taking the BWF.

This way the
formula and its energetics will be more effective and not have to
compete with the drug during digestion.

There is alot of useful information on this site:

Thank you.

I'm staring with the AL once a day for 2 days. Which will work out fine because i take my abx with breakfast and dinner.

Any suggestion for what i should do when i move up to twice daily on he herbs?

I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day to properly space meds.

I suppose your LLMD is wanting to see your reaction to the formula before changing the dosing schedule. Once a day is really not going to do much but a good precautionary measure.

Just take your abx first thing in the morning and at dinner time. Take the herbals around noon and before bed. Any supplements can be take 1 hour away from formulas.

BTW, my daughter(26) was on mepron and biaxin but had to stop due to toxicity, she is now on A-Bab and says she feels much better than when she was on abx.

thanks for the info.

I'm really going to try and take the abx 12 hours apart whatever the cost. If i have to space the herbs a little more unevenly to compensate i'd rather do that as the omnicef is really the cornerstone of my treatment.

I was also on mepron and biaxin (maybe you saw this in another post and that's why you mentioned it) I stopped a little early because i felt crummy and had trouble keeping food down.

I was on several other meds at the time so i can't say exactly what it was from. I think it was just from too many medications.

I'm on AL because i've seen some pretty good improvement on just the omnicef for lyme. Hopefully this will help things, i really don't want to mix anything else in, i def. do better with a more simple regimen.

That's great that the omnicef is working for you! 12 hours is a long time to wait between doses, I would try to learn more about the half life of the abx. Most have a very short half life and need to be taken at least every 8 hours in order to be effective.

Yes, I did read your other post about the mepron and biaxin. Mepron is a difficult drug to tolerate and only worked for her for 2 months and that was at the maximum dose.

The half life may be shorter, but i'm only to take twice daily. If i took them that frequently i'd be leaving a huge gap between doses. Am i missing something?

Early in my daughter's treatment we were told by an LLMD that cephalosporins had a very short half life and needed to be taken in high doses in order to be effective. He wanted her to go on Ceftriaxone IV for this reason. We declined but chose to add flagyl and biaxin for added benefit. I must say though that Ceftin was a very good abx for her.

I suppose it depends on the dose that you are taking to determine whether it is in your system long enough to maintain a therapeutic effect.

Hmm. I'm seeing Dr. H - who many see as aggressive with treatment. So i'd think i'm getting a high enough dose.

300 mg 2x/day?

If that is Dr. H. in California, I would trust his judgement as well. You had already treated fairly aggressively so maybe he feels that the dose you are taking will work.

With Ceftin the dose was 500 mg bid and I'm not sure if Omnicef would be similar dosing.

I took the A-L complex for a month or so.

I was also told it was fine to take with abx, food, other sups etc.

I got up to 18 drops 2x day when I finally herxed.

It is in fact the only thing I have herxed on so far. I stopped when I found out I was taking them wrong because I got frustrated.

I'm now wondering if I should add them back in again.
