Are we just able to naturally detox quick enough to where we don't experience symptoms? If not, what is the reason some people herx and some don't?

Hey Knight,
I don't herx either. We're literally exactly the same when it comes to everything. Just hoping to get some answers soon

Well do you feel well?
A non-herx imo is 1 of 2 things
1) You detox and/or have a great mop up protocol 2) You're going after the wrong thing

Don't know. I don't do anything for detox, but have never herxed. Maybe it's a strain thing?

canefan...I don't really detox besides run. I try and run everyday for a couple of miles. I don't feel well...my symptoms haven't abated even the slightest since I started treatment 6 months ago. I'm not getting any better treating lyme and bartonella. Currently on iv rocephin riphampin and azithro.
I tested negative for babesia. I don't know what else to go after. My symptoms are severe neuro-cognitive...I don't think any other infections cause these type of symptoms.
any recommendations?
Nybball - it's incredible how close our symptoms are as well as how they started. Also, the no response to antibiotics yet. Uncanny.

I mostly don't herx or don't do anything for detox, but I feel better on abx.
If I were not herxing or feeling better after a certain amount of time, I would question whether I was treating the right thing or at the right dose.
FWIW, my LLMD did just tell me that the brain is the last thing to get better and is usually helped by Flagyl.
We are adding that now so I don't have personal experience with it.
At least some LLMDs will treat for babesia even without a positive test. You might consider finding one that will treat based on symptoms and not just tests.

knight,
Babs? Viruses?
Testing negative on babs means nothing.
And babs can cause severe neuro issues (depression, suicidal thoughts, mood swings, etc)
You may be dealing with metals, viruses, parasites, babs, bart, lyme
Must consider it all

HI Knight, I dont really herx either. I'll maybe be a bit more tired, or foggy-- but this doesnt always come after a treatment change or anything. My Dr ran an genetic test on my immune system and it seems that genetically I am missing components of my immune system. Your immune system is responsible for herxes. So-- I still have detox protocols and everything, because just becuase i'm not feelling it doesnt mean that my body is toxin free. I really would recommend you detoxing.
Also-- neuro symptoms are very Bart related. Dr B said if that is your prodominate problem to really go after Bart. I'm the same too-- and now on Rifampin, and Bicilln injections (also Biaxin).

I wish I didn't herx.
It was torture. True torture. ER visits, 911 calls, and no compassion.
As I got detoxing better they lessened in severity. This last herx was the weakest yet. I think that's a good sign.
But even if my detox was perfect, I don't understand how you can have Lyme and not herx. I just can't comprehend how that's possible.
