has anyone experienced tremors in one or both hands?
for me its very noticable when I hold my left hand out [at half or three quarter length from the body] and hold something in it like a newspaper or book
any thoughts...

My biological dentist said this was how mercury poisoning presented for him and what made him decide to stop working with amalgam.
When I said this to my mother, she said coffee can do the same thing.
Look at the toxins in your own environment... I am sure they can all have an effect on nerves.

My son had tremors in both hands. His whole body would shake sometimes. After tx. for lyme it stopped.
He was also very high in mercury. We have now chelated that as well.

When my mother began taking magnesium that I sent her, she said that her tremor decreased.

I have not been diagnosed yet (LLMD in April), but tremor and twitches in my left hand are two of the more annoying symptoms I have.
I am seeing my second neuro as well. First said "I don't know what it is, but it's not your nerves."
Frankly, I'm putting a lot more faith in the LLMD I have never met than the doctors I have encountered over the past six months.
Best to you!

Yes, I have had the tremors come and go since before I started tx for Lyme. It went away after long term abx. Then when I stopped the abx it came back (and sometimes when I was herxing hard it would happen)
Recently my primary doc sent me to a neurologist and that neuro accused me of being an alcoholic. She thought my hand tremor was from alcohol or alcohol withdrawls LOL I don't drink alcohol and even told her that TWICE. *sigh*
I also get a hand tremor if I've done too much that day. And I have clonus and myoclonus. And twitches and everything else.
I've not noticed magnesium helping me in any of this, although it does help with constipation thats for sure Posted by kidsgotlyme (Member # 23691) on :
When my daughter gets really tired or stressed, she has tremors like that.

My husband is having this problem too. His doctor said he thought it was Benign Essential Tremor. I'm wondering if this could be caused by lyme since it has no known cause.
It can be genetic, but my husband has no family history of it.
