Some say Doryx helped their stomach/was less irritating than doxy. Any experience with this? Also, what is the usual doseage of doryx? You can p.m. me if you want. Thanks everyone.

My daughter takes 150 mg of Doryx every day for acne. She's never had any GI problems, nor any yeast overgrowth.

YES!

Take probitics!!

I think the doryx dosage would be the same as doxy.

My doctor insisted that Doryx was easier to tolerate than generic doxy. I think I took 100 or 150 mg twice daily, can't remember exactly.

It's definitely easier on the stomach.

I'm taking 400mg daily (4 tablets) and no stomach issues. Regular doxy would sometimes make me a little queasy and make my stomach feel acidic, (although I could still tolerate it).

If given a choice and your insurance covers it, I'd go with Doryx.

Warning.. it IS way more expensive. Good insurance is pretty necessary.

There is a discount program through the manufacturer that allows you to get a month's supply of 150 mg/day for $25. Each discount card is good for 3 fills, at which point you can call back and get another card. Last I was told, the program will run through the end of this year.

The phone # is 1-888-727-7282.

It was my understanding that you need to get the card from a doctor, and then you register it at the number above.
