I have finally found an LLMD who put me on three antibiotics: Cipro, Flagyl, and Fluconazole. What have been your experiences with these? And what does a herx reaction feel like? I don't want my symptoms to get worse than they already are

If you are already very sick you may not be able to take but one med at a time...
You can prepare now if you do herx.
Ready to eat meals, stevia for sweetner, Epsom salts for soaking--
I wish I had bought it in bulk-cheaper,
help if you need it for dizzyness, vomiting, getting up and down.
As well as supplements that can help the nerves ...B12IM, vitamin C, detox protocols, yeast protection-most of us take either Nystatin or Diflucan, probiotics to protect the bowels. ETC..
The herx reactions can be mild or severe. Some liken it to coming out of a cocoon as you progress with the meds.
Esp. when it is letting go of the nerves.
You can have jerks, twitches, pain, fevers, vision problems, sleep problems, loss of urine and bowel control, etc. etc. etc.
And it can happen all at once or one at a time...As you progress it gets better, but it can be rough--
For some people this can happen immediately, or it may take 6 mths to start.
There is a saying among Lyme--"It gets worse-before it gets better".

Just want to let you know that fluconazole is not an antibiotic. It is diflucan, an antifungal. It is used to get rid of the yeast infection that flagyl often gives the patient.
If you notice a white coating on your tongue, that is yeast. The diflucan will get rid of it.
So, you are just on 2 antibiotics.
I must say that I think cipro and flagyl are an unusual combination to treat lyme disease. Generally, lyme doctors use medications from 2 different classes of antibiotics to attack lyme. Cipro is not generally considered a lyme drug.
Flagyl is used to kill the cyst form of lyme. It is usually paired with an antibiotic that kills the spirochete form of lyme. You don't have such an antibiotic in your case.
I hope you have found yourself a good lyme doctor. Your doctor does not seem to be following the Burrascano lyme treatment guidelines. Perhaps you should ask him what lyme treatment protocol he follows. That will give you a lot of useful information.
Are you sure you are on Cipro and not on Ceftin, for example?

It sounds like you have been diagnosed with Bartonella as well. Cipro is usually used to treat Bart. It can be quite a potent abx, so I think he is wanting to treat more aggressively.

I just went to see this LLMD for the first time last week and took some tests. Two days later I get a call that my WBC counts are too high and that that is a sign of infection and he prescribed these three meds immediately. Still waiting on the other blood work to find out if I fit the profile for Lyme, Bart, or both. Right now I'm undiagnosed.

OK, Cipro is to kill whatever infection you have right now. So, that makes sense. Cipro is a broad spectrum antibiotic. It kills just about anything.
Flagyl will kill intestinal infections.
So, you are not on lyme treatment right now. He is treating the high white blood cell count. Since he doesn't know what is causing it, he is giving you cipro which will hopefully kill it.
The diflucan is to keep you from getting yeast from being on flagyl and cipro.

Ok, thanks TF! I still wonder what kind of infection could cause a high WBC count. I don't have anything that I am aware of...
