Does anyone know if I clear bartonella (and all tests come back negative for it) if I can have a relapse of it down the road? If so how is that possible?

- How do you FEEL ?
How long were you treated? Repeat tests probably don't mean much, really. Bartonella can be chronic and yes, it can come back, but that depends on your treatment and other things that an ILADS-connected expert can address. And it's is a stealth infection (sneaky, able to evade detection, etc.).
If you feel good and are free of bartonella symptoms, that's good but get expert advice about how long treatment may need to be continued or what kind of remission support is needed.
If you still have symptoms, of course, that would say a lot. -

Thanks Keebler...I do still have some symptoms which I told the llmd about at the last visit when I had the bartonella/lyme test again.
The dr said something I didn't really understand about symptoms continuing for a while after you stop the medication, even if your clear... So I assumed that was what was happening.
I'm only questioning because I was only treated biaxn abx for one month...but I still have symptoms even tho I'm "clear" now.
Maybe I'll wait a few mos and see how I feel before I go insist on another test. Just not sure what to do...
