OK, so I know I shouldn't be drinking soda, but am addicted to this local southern indiana area soda called "Ski" Anyhow, I have come to the realization over the past year basically that it occasionally causes a complete disfunction of my digestive system. ..

This morning I took my antibiotics at like 9:00 am and had a small glass of ski, and had diarrhea. (I knew I shouldn't have done it but I did anyway) Other soda's don't seem to cause this, only my favorite one, ski. Anyhow I had to go again around 11:00 am and noticed one of the pills I had taken this morning was in the toilet, almost completely there. This disturbs me. Did the soda literally "flush out" my stomach and large intestine etc?

What in this soda could cause such a reaction? It does have orange juice and lemon juice concentrates as some of its main ingredients after sugar, could these ingredients be causing the reaction? Remember it seems it is ONLY this drink that does this..

I know this is just an obvious "dont do it again and you won't have to worry about it" thing, but I was just wondering if any of you guys know what kind of reaction could cause a complete flushing etc like this...

thanks [Smile]

I think it may be the citrus flavor in the drink (Ski).

It looks like most people compare it to Mountain Dew.

Love Ski, was better back in the day in 18oz bottles with pulp!! [Smile] Hope it's not what is causing your problem... Might try another citrus drink and compare results...

funny you posted this. i was telling my sister about how many vitamins i take, which is alot.

now ya'll know she's a radiologist. she told me she had a friend, can't remember name, who also took a ton but she rarely drank any water.

she kept having severe abdominal pain, and finally went to the hospital where they had to operate.

you got it!! all those vitamins were a big ball in her intestines and had caused a blockage. she said the ball was fist sized.

this woman almost died.

i take mine with plenty of liquids and food.

That is very strange to me. I would have assumed (and yes, I KNOW what happens when you assume) that citrus stuff would be acidic enough to totally dissolve a pill.

And that is scary about the woman with the ball of pills in her intestine.

High in caffeine??

What is the sugar content? Is it higher than what is in other sodas?

I would imagine that part of the diarrhea problem is from yeast. Gotta be.
