My muscles (especially in the upper arms) burn from doing the slightest things.

Like drying my hair, driving, etc. My muscles burn like I've worked them out.

Anyone else experience this? Please help.

Yes! Some days walking to my car, I have to stop a couple times for the leg muscles to quit burning... Same with arms.

Then other days they are normal.

I am in treatment and feel this is just one more thing to deal with as we 'kill' the little buggers.

Annoying and scarey all in one.

I had this for months. Seems to be gone now.

As someone who was pretty active before getting sick i was afraid it was due to my lack of physical activity and not lyme/co. But it turns out that it was infection all the way.

It will go away sooner or later.

Absolutely, it's one of my biggest problems. I can't even get up the stairs at my house without taking a break halfway up.

Infection causes lactic acidosis in muscles, so you'll feel like you've done a huge workout when you haven't.

This is especially true for Babesia.

Today the hot muscles and heavy legs and aching legs is bad.

This is one of my biggest complaints. That and fatigue. The muscle burning pain is unbearable at times like walking, climbing stairs, cooking, holding the baby, etc. I don't dry my hair anymore, I don't fold laundry (sadly we just pull clean clothes from a big pile on the couch as we need them), I even have a hard time brushing my teeth or typing. I have to take lots of breaks. It is so frustrating.

Right now, across my upper back is ON FIRE. I feel as if I have been lifting weights all day. That along with the migraines I have been having for a few weeks are what I would consider part of the worst things of this rotten disease.

AND...thanks to Boxermom for saying the word Babesia...that is the second time I have heard it this week and it sounds like I do need to get into a LLMD!

I am mostly bothered with it in my upper shoulders and arms.

Blowdrying hair is a chore some days.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to work out almost daily with weights after many months of not being able to.

This has helped with my leg muscles, but boy it kills my upper arms/shoulders doing this.

I did notice too that when I started magnesium it helped with the leg/foot cramps that I would get easily.

Thanks, everyone. I did not know about the lactic acid build up.

I've also been getting lots of muscle twitches.
