Hi I no longer have insurance. Went back to Grad school fulltime. I will start working in the summer though. So I will have insurance from june and on. Will this cover expenses even if I have to travel to visit a doctor?

Our insurance pays for our prescriptions and part of the doctor's visit even though we travel out of state to see the doctor.
Insurance pays for the doctor at the out of network rate based on the amount they think is reasonable. We pay out of pocket and get reimbursed whatever they pay.
Insurance does not reimburse us for phone consultations. Still, it is cheaper to pay the full amount than to travel to the doctor.
If you have a choice, consider a plan that will pay the most for out of network providers.

We pay out of pocket for ILADS doctor out of state. It is no fun paying that bill times 3 of us! Insurance covers most meds and labs. It is the supplements, vitamins and herbs that are really adding up!
