Apparently packages traveling by air are being heavily scrutinized, and thus delayed, due to security concerns. The mail service in Spain's web site is posting a notice to this effect. Has anyone else experienced this? On a different note, has anyone heard about RECENT experiences bringing it back across the border from Tijuana? PM if you are more comfortable with that approach. Thanks. Dave

If youre going to bring it across the TJ border you just have to be there yourself-- with your passport, and a copy of the prescription. Also, there is a new rule down there where your prescription has to be written by a Mexican Dr, not an American one. So you gotta see a Dr down there too.

Thanks Whitney. That would be doable, in a pinch, as many pharmacies have a doctor on hand and I already have a passport and speak passable Spanish.

Sounds good-- I'm from SD too so this is something I plan on doing if I loose my health insurance (which may happen soon). Just research what the mexican name of the drug is and pay attention to doses.

Only the big pharmacy Gusher asked me for a prescription last time I did the Tijuana border cross. The smaller ones didn't care but had limited supply. I had to hit quite a few to get my 45 shots. The border guys alwasy ask a bunch of questions and if I have a prescription and I just say I do but didn't need it so left it at home adn I tell them I take 4 a week for Lyme and the whole story of cost in the US and Canada and they end up saying "good luck" and it's no problem.
Legally you don't need a prescription to present to customs agents, as long as it is personal use and not more than a three month supply.
