Has anyone ever had joint swelling and pain from lyme and got better?

Is it possible to reverse the damage?

Any stories you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Even if you haven't gotten better.

Thank you,

WG

A lady who sees the same LLMD as me was in a wheelchair for a year because of severe knee damage. She had two surgeries at Mayo for it. They told her it was damage from RA ( even though her RA tests were negative, they told her she still had it ).

Then she got to where she coudln't lift one of her arms and had to stop driving.

She found my doctor who then diagnosed her with Lyme ( after Mayo and Johns Hopkins missed it ), was put on antibiotics, and two months later she is out of her wheelchair, driving again, and going back to the gym.

I talked with my LLMD about her last week ( I told him I read about it on her blog ) and he got tears in his eyes about it. But he did say her case was an unusually rapid response.

But yes, her severe knee damage from Lyme is healing, even after two unecessary surgeries made it even worse.

I haven't gotten better (yet) and I do not have joint pain, but:

I had bad swelling of the hands and feet, that after much experimentation I traced to nightshade vegetables and gluten. If I eliminate those from my diet the swelling is gone. Others also have a dairy intolerance but I do not. Nightshades are worse than gluten.

Other than tomatoes, what other nightshades specifically were giving you swelling problems?
