For the past couple of days I have had an increase in fatigue, increased joint pain (esp in my knees), flu-like symptoms, dizziness, a burning sensation in the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands, shortness of breath, and feeling too weak to hold my head up straight. The last three are new to me.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the burning/tingling in my hands and feet (I thought in Bart it's only your feet) and online it says to contact your doctor if you experience numbness or tingling in your hands and feet on Flagyl because it is a serious side effect.

Might want to add what meds you're on. Go ahead and contact your doctor if it's not too hard though.

Did you recently start any new meds? What meds are you taking?

Is it about 4 weeks since you started lyme meds? If so, that would be the monthly lyme flare coming out now.

If you recently started flagyl, it could be a herx.

Regardless, you are supposed to stop flagyl immediately if you get tingling in your extremities. So, I would stop the med and call the doctor.

I started Flagyl, Cipro, and Diflucan about 2.5 weeks ago and have not had any side effects or changes in symptoms until now.

The burning sensation and the symptoms mentioned above are mostly gone now, except a little more fatigue than usual. Does that mean it was a herx? I don't think I will contact my doctor since it went away. My next appointment is in 2 weeks.

I also started having pain in my lower legs. How do you know if it is shin pain or tendon pain? It hurts mostly on the back/inside, about halfway between the knee and the ankle and more on the left leg than the right.
