Just wondering how many of us have his symptom... I keep trying to describe that kind of "headache", which is like muscle tighness... It's NOT from magnesium deficiency, i drink a lot of it and take pills, but nothing helps. This tight band around the head is there ALL the time. Has anyone got rid of it with time? Thanks.

I have this a lot. It really, really ruins my life. Most say it's Babesia.

Babesia or yeast. But who knows.. could be bart or Lyme too!? Posted by elizzza811 (Member # 24713) on :
I have this tightened rubberband feeling, but mine runs through my lower jaw around the base of my skull.
I know the feeling though...feels like blood is unable to drain properly. I think in my case it is electricity that is unable to drain, however, since I found out I'm having seizures recently.

I guess nobody really knows what it is, ly,e babs, bart, all of this is just a guess... Still wondering who got rid of it...

And if it was really babesia, I can't think that tests would not be able to identify it, as babesia create black dots in the blood cells.... Are they that difficult to spot?... I wonder who is making money from this...

I have to say it's Babesia. I don't have it all the time, but when I was starting to treat with Mepron, I felt it around my head. Mainly in the front, like some kind of balloon pressure.

Wolfed Out, did it appear when you started mepron and did it go away when you stopped it? Is there any chance it was a reaction to the mepron more than babesia if you did not have it before? Do you still have it sometimes? Thanks for your help.

Shah,
That's a tough question for me, because my reaction to treating Babesia has been so vastly different when comparing how others reacted.
Let me ask you this...
Did you have any eyelid/facial twitches?
How about noticeable TRANSLUCENT looking skin?
Increase in neuropathy and/or nerve numbing?
Wake up like you slept hard, leaving mattress markings on your skin?
All of this stuff gets far worse with Mepron OR Plaquenil.

hey Wo, I did have facial twitches too, and I have a lot of what feels like neuropathy though I don't like using this word because it means "damage to the nerves" which i obviously do not have as these symptoms can vary greatly from one day to another... But I am not taking Mepron nor plaquenil...All abx make me feel even worse..:-(

Tight band feeling is often migraine related.
Not all migraines are killer headaches. Some are silent and manifest differently, like the band, or strange smells, light sensitivity, dizziness/vertigo, visual disturbances or head feeling like it could explode, nausea, tingling.
Magnesium is very helpful for migraines and we are often very low in this mineral.
Often there is a migraine trigger in packaged foods. I found huge relief when I cleaned up my diet.
It helps to keep a journal of your day with food intake, timing, hormone schedule, emotional and environmental stressors to see if you can find what your trigger ( or combination ) is. The trigger and the symptoms don't follow each other closely, sometimes there is a day or more delay.

...and just because you take Magnesium doesn't mean you are absorbing it correctly.
Not all forms are bioavailable in enough quantity for your body.
I found through something like tensoring, some brands/forms were perfect for me but others did nothing.
I had IV magnesium ( Myer's cocktail) for a few weeks to build up, then was able to take orally.
I only use either Malate or Glycinate form.
Blood work confirmed my levels increased and are now in the proper range.

I think I finally found the answer!!! here, look at this picture: http://www.answers.com/topic/cervical-chain This follows exactly my painful areas... So that means all this is from a very badly affected lymphatic system...
