Hi all,

I took a long break (more than six months) from treating because I was getting married and wanted to feel good (no herxing!) for the wedding. Now that the wedding is past, I need to dive back in.

I've only had about 2 months of biaxin in terms of "real" treatment, and I feel that I was being undertreated in that case. I am going to go back to my doc soon and request a more aggressive approach. If he's not on board, I'll find another LLMD.

Anyway I have some antibiotic allergies so I don't have a ton of flexibility in terms of what I can take. I was thinking of posing the possibility of doing a combo of doxy OR mino plus zith OR biaxin, and MAYBE flagyl (nervous about that).

I am allergic to penicillin, sulfas, cephalosporins.

It seems the drugs I'm considering are part of the Stratton protocol, but I'm having a hard time finding RECENT info about this combo.

Has anyone taken this sort of combo with any success?

My symptoms are primarily HPA/hormonal and neuro.

Thank you!

Yes, it is the Wheldon protocol.cpnhelp.org.
I do it as it kills lyme and cpn.
In case you have both, it is a good decision.

Also azithro kills staph.
Adding the flagyl is for cpn and for some people complicated see detals cpnhelp.org.

I think many people relapse with lyme as they also have cpn.

Thank you for your reply! I am definitely going to talk with my LLMD about this.

the cpnhelp website seems like a wonderful resource but a bit difficult to navigate.. I'll just have to take some time to poke around there.

Anyone else with experience with this combo??

Would it address any other co's besides cpn?

Thank you!!

I just finished 4 months of mino, biaxin and flagyl. It was a very good combo for me and I made significant improvement.

I started the mino/biaxin combo after 20 months of various ABX combos. I noticed improvement immediately just on those 2.

Then I added the flagyl at 24 months. The first 2 months on the mino/biaxin/flagyl were pretty awful and then I started to have longer and longer sessions of feeling significantly better.

I am feeling much more hopeful about my recovery...best wishes for yours.
