Involuntary hand shaking. My whole hand and arm been shaking all day today (left arm). I am not sure why, but I think I noticed it happen after I was holding a bunch of folders. Also pain come and goes on that hand.
Is that common with lyme disease?

Hi,
It's not a common symptom for me any longer. I had severe anxiety that caused a lot of tremors and shakiness at one point. I also get hand shakiness during hard herxes.

To me, hand tremors are Lyme, either symptoms, or herxing. Tremors are like Parkinson's, which Lyme can mimic. I have had occasional mild tremors. My brother has a tremor too, along with "gout". It's all Lyme.

Do you have an LLMD? If not, I suggest you find one and ask him/her to test you for lyme, check for parkinson's, get your thyroid tested (hyPERthyroidism can cause tremors, but not usually one-sided either, it would be both hands and also would be mild/moderate in most cases) and rule out other things.
Keep in mind that specialists may tend to always suspect lyme. It is important to rule out other things too.
The proof is in the pudding: How much progress you make with treatment can be a good guidepost to determine whether or not you are treating the correct disease.
Because many illnesses can mimic each other, it is important for lay people to not diagnose each other. We can give input based on our own experience and help to normalize other peoples' experiences, but to diagnose is dangerous or at best, misleading.

I am 20 years old... IDK if parkinson's can happen at that age? When I got my nerves checked everything seemed normal. And I do have an LLMD.

Most of my tremors have come from bartonella. When I started treatment I would shake for hours on end. I suppose Lyme can cause it as well, but for me personally, bart was a major player in it. Regardless of what it is, though, you're not alone, that's for sure!!
