Does anyone have a problem with sensitive, painful areas on the fingers or toes? I sometimes get these things which aren't quite blisters and aren't quite sores, but are very painful on the fingers and toes. I have some now on the right hand and they're some of the more painful ones I've had.

Can anyone suggest some treatment for these? My doc doesn't have any real suggestions: capsacin cream and a blood pressure med that I took once and seemed to help, but made me very dizzy.

Thanks in advance.

Homeopathic Hypericum might help...it is for nerve pain & injury esp. of fingers & toes...

Hi Dex3703,

my son (age 13) gets these on his feet (mostly his toes). He plays the string bass in orchestra thus he spends several hours on his feet each day.

Our LLMD suggested band-aids that are specially made for blisters. They have medicine on them and seem to do the trick.

He puts them on each morning and removes them at night per LLMD. The box says you can wear them for multiple days, but he does not.

You can buy them at all drug stores, pharmacies, walmart etc. They are in the first aid section with the band-aids.

I know the blister-ish sores are quite painful. Hope the blister band-aids help and you are feeling better soon.

Thanks for the suggestions. Does anybody know what these ARE? How to get rid of them, what triggers them?

I occassionally get a blister like sores on my fingers and hands. They start out blistery and then turn into sores. Very painful once they turn into sores. I have no idea what these are.

I get them on my feet/toes and other areas but not on my hands. I'm of the opinion theys are bartonella type skin lesions.

That isn't based on any doc telling me...it's from research and knowing my body and it's attack by bart.

Is it hand, foot and mouth disease? Do you get sores in your mouth at the same time? I've had hand, foot and mouth without the mouth sores though.

I have had sores in my mouth, and stinging and burning. It's gotten much better but does appear now and again. Maybe the bart is an issue. My doc is just becoming lyme literate and doesn't believe in it since I tested negative. I don't think it'll take too much to convince her.

I got this one time, when I began using a boutique made soap that had "sparkles" in it.

I put the soap at a sink where I only washed my hands, and I got these extremely painful small lumps on my fingertips.
When I put any pressure on my fingertips, it felt as if the flesh were being ripped off.

My son also used the soap and began complaining of the same symptoms.
Then I got the same problem on the bottom of my toes, and I had not used that soap on my feet.

I threw the soap away, and the painful lumps got better.
I think I was allergic to something in the soap, maybe the "sparkles."

You might be allergic to something.
Perhaps you could use a cream with Lidocaine to numb the painful areas until you get it figured out.

Is there any skin change? Like thinning or tightening of the skin?
