Any opinions on continuing diflucan and nystatin while on flagyl for c-diff? Any words of encouragement for successfully treating c-diff also appreciated. Thank you.

If you have not been to this website it is a great support site for c diff. Personally, based on some folks from that site...diflucan has caused a c diff relapse in atleast one person.
The diflucan is killing yeast which may be partially keeping c diff in check. C diff over takes the colon when too many of the good guys have been wiped out. Including friendly yeast.
You want to supplement with probiotics and florastor which is a friendly yeast. Diflucan and nystatin will kill good and bad yeast.
Good probiotics in addition to florastor are VSL#3, culturelle and kefir. High doses are usually required but note that flagyl or vanco will kill the good probiotics so space them away from these meds by a few hours.
C diff is highly contagious so strick handwashing, diluted bleach solution to clean bathrooms and wash towels etc.
Go to that website and learn as much as possible about c diff. Over 80% usually recover with one or 2 courses of flagyl or vanco. C diff has a rather high relapse rate...especially if offending antibiotics are resumed before the good GI flora has a chance to repopulate the colon.

May as well take them! Just make sure your dr checks your liver enzymes if you're on Diflucan more than a month.
