I was sitting outside this afternoon and i started to notice my left shin getting sore. ..anyway its been a few hours now and skin on that shin is painful to touch or wear trousers against.
I have never had it before I have checked my calves for size and color etc incase of DVT my husband said there is no difference.
what could it possible be brought on suddenly like that, it was a little windy and got cold ish before we came in. but nothing else out of the ordinary, havent banged it or anything....

Sore in what way?
I occasionally get what I call shingles pain.
I've never had shingles, but it's what I'd imagine it'd feel like.
It usually happens to the back of my arms, back or back of thigh.
It's a burning, stinging pain that just the brushing of that spot with a light hand or clothing will make the pain worse.
When I look in that spot, no rash no sign of anything different in appearance.
It can last anywhere from a few minutes to a few days.
I've had this happen off and on for about two-three years.
I blame it on the Lyme-don't know what it is.

I myself and my daughter as well have had hyper skin sensitivity with lyme. It can be so painful. When I had it the whole side of my face was so hyper sensitive that my hair touching my face hurt terribly.
My daughter gets sensitivity pain randomly often changing places. It comes and goes with her. Pattiecake

its really weird......skin is sensitive but shinbone is throbbing if that makes sense.........never had it before although i have had similar in the right side of my face.....will see tomorrow how it feels, back to LLMD with all these weird things that are popping up....

When I think of shin pain I automatically remember that shin pain is one of the clinically significant signs of Trench fever (bartonella quintana). Since you mentioned the right side of your face, it makes me want to mention that a lot of my bart symptoms affect the right side of my face... Could be a ton of other things I'm sure, but just in case it's useful

I have had this sensitivty all the time. Shins are a big one, top of my head, my face, all the way from head to shoulders at times.
It is the nerves that are inflammed and it goes away just as fast. As long as you do not have heat or redness in the area. Then you would thing of blood clot but throbbing is the nerve twitching. THere is nothing worse than nerve pain.

Do you have Bart? I've heard that in addition to foot/heel pain, many have shin pain.
