I have been having very intense, and strange dreams, since treating Bart. Someone else made a similar post a few weeks back, but the gist of that was that it was nightmares, or a bad thing.

I kind of like having so many vivid dreams, especially after years of not remembering much or dreaming at all. My brain has been pretty roughed up for a while, and once my Bart anxiety and other symptoms dropped, these dreams started coming on nightly. They tend to be very urgent and weird. I don't know if subject matter is really consequential, in terms of my health.

I don't consider them nightmares, or night terrors, just really vivid dreams. Also I can recover the majority of the dreams, even if I have had more than one.
I am wondering if this is a sign that my brain is bouncing back and healing a little. The dreams coincide with my Bart treatment. Usually, if I have a rotten day (health wise) I won't dream. But usually when I feel good, I do.
Or maybe it is a sign of dementia? I am certainly not cured, and the majority of my symptoms are in the head / ears.

Anyone have any knowledge about this sort of thing? To me it feels pretty good, but I just don't trust my instincts the past few years!

Most of my remaining symptoms are head and ear related as well.

The past few days I have had really intense dreams - not quite nightmares as the ending always is on a good note. Very vivid as well.

I am herxing right now and these dreams started when I started herxing again - always happens for me. Lyme = weird dreams with bad outcomes and herx = werid dreams with good outcomes..

I don't have bart - but suspect babs.

I think a lot us of have or had very vivid dreams at some point.....I used to have them a lot very real very vivid.....I understood it to be your brain firing and some how its crossing the pathways that cause images......I think.....

i must say i havent had it for a few months but last night as vivid as anything.......i started new meds a few weeks ago so wondering if its related to that.......

i dont know what infection causes it though.......

I have vivid dreams on and off, too.

The weird thing about mine is that the 'story line' of these vivid dreams seems to be a 'collection' of inconsequential but emotion-provoking happenings throughout that day, including things I watched on TV.

For example, my last vivid dream ended with my finding my cats in their cat carrier, totally saturated with water (and upset)...this was probably because I had watched a cat show on TV, and one of the show cats was getting a bath, which struck me as horrific evidently.

Since I started Mepron to treat Babs I have had strange vivid dreams every night. I don't know if it is a herx or a side effect of the Mepron.

For a long time I had insomnia and did not dream much at all. I appreciate the fact that I can sleep now and the dreams, no matter how strange, are a good thing. I have had a few dreams that were so upsetting I could not go back to sleep.

Certain meds cause bad dreams. I had bad dreams with Mepron and I also have had them with Melatonin.

Right after I got bitten I started having nightmares, which I hadn't had since I was a kid. With treatment they went away, and when I run out of the herbal/homeopathic protocol that I'm on they come back. I get the horror-show, evil kind that leave you scared when you wake up. Ick. I attribute it to Bart.

ohhh finally 1 person who started dreaming while on bart treatment..

i had exactly the same here, 1 year ago i startet bart treatment with levaquine+bactrim and pulsed flagyl. after i stopped the levaquin, i started dreaming immediatly.. constantly every night. the dreams are not violent usually, just totally crazy sometimes, sometimes "normal"

i know that many here say that it's babs related.. but i think it can be due some other bugs too... why?

i treated now babesia 8 months long.. and nothin changed in the dreamhighway... but.. after i stopped mepron, i had noch such powerful vivid dreams.. they were shorter and not that intensive.
so i think that the vivid dreaming is a part of a sideeffect caused by the mepron.

i think dreams are caused by bartonella too, not only by babs.

I've had horrible vivid nightmares and just dreaming where the dreams seem like they go on and on. I was only taking Doxy & Doryx. These started last summer and continue despite treatment.

They can be ghoulish or just plain old dreaming. But very vivid and seem like they are happening the whole time I am asleep. Every single night.

Yes, I have dreams every single night. They range from scary to just really odd. They seem to go on and on forever. It sucks, as I don't feel like I'm getting good rest while they're happening. The dreaming started before I started treatment, so I know it's not related to any meds. I have lyme/bart/babs, so who knows which is the culprit.
It sucks, can't wait until it stops someday.

Lyme itself can cause bad dreams. I myself have bad dreams also

From what my dr said, if you remember your dreams (good/bad) you are not getting deep enough sleep. Supposedly you would not remember a thing.

I guess that means for the past 10 years or so I haven't been getting great sleep - I remember my dreams almost a few days a week!

Boo = (
