I sometimes itch like crazy. This came on back in August and to a large degree has cleared with Bart treatment.
Is itching a definitive Bart symptom? I get occasional itching spells (today for instance) in which isolated parts of my body will itch. Today it was around my eyes and my wrists. sometimes it is my back, which also gets scabby sometimes. Sometimes my shin will itch like crazy, or my upper arms.
It used to be all over, in my ears, and I also got a terrible "crawling" sensation all over too. Like bugs were crawling on me and in my ears... so maddening. It hasn't been that intense in months. and it doesn't seem to last more than a day or two anymore.
Is this Bart dying off? or is it some other symptom from another infection, or parasites? Anyone know ?
Just trying to sort out all the craziness!

Hi lymeboy:

My daughter has been having itching issues since increasing her tindamax in January. She had lyme and Babs, we don' think she has bart but of course know it can show up all of a sudden.

Our LLMD indicated this can be a die off of the lb toxins, not just bart.

Yikes. It can be yeast.

When I started getting the crawly feeling (I know exactly what you mean)), somewhere I read it was magnesium deficiency. Are you taking any mag?

Yes I take a lot of Magnesium Glycenate. 800 mg twice a day. today it is gone. it used to be much much worse, but subsided with most of my other Bart symptoms.
I don't have a great deal of other yeast symptoms. Tongue is ok. not often bloated, I'm overly regular... not sure what else is indicative of yeast.

Do any of you get a raised linear rash with this itching? Like the typical bart cat scratch like rash, only raised and itchy?

Beagle

no rash. I was getting very tiny red bumps a while back that itched...but they haven't been back since I have started the Cipro.

damnit. I was hoping to avoid this. does this now set my treatment back?

What about my tongue? it isn't pasty at all, I don't have gas either.
Can yeast cause dizziness? Clogged ears?

Wow my daughter is 19 and she was diagnosed with bart and lyme. She hasn't had any problems with yeast at all and really hasn't been taking her probiotics regularly. Tonight she came home and showed me her ankles which were all scabbed up. I asked what happened and she said they have just been itching like crazy...she thinks its dry skin. Then I read this...could it be yeast?

Interesting....I've been experiencing this symptom since starting Salt-C. Especially my scalp. Felt like Excema, little bumps on the scalp. It has cleared up pretty much now that I've been on the protocol a month, but occasionally get the 'itch' jig and cannot claw myself enough. Never had it til Salt-C.

Probably die-off, I would think. It makes sense. An oatmeal bath would sooth it really well. Or maybe some fresh aloe. I'm sorry you have the itchy!!!
