I know everyone says Methylcobalamin is better and I agree it is, but my question is taking the cyanocobalamin harmful or just not as useful?
Thanks.

It's not specifically harmful if your detox pathways are in good shape.

I've had more side-effects from cyano-cobolamin than methyl-cobolamin, though, but this may be due to methylation issues that I have, and not directly due to the cyano- part of the cyano-cobolamin...

I have always heard the opposite. That Methylcobalamin can be harmful. If you have any mercury issues it can create a very harmful form of mercury called methyl mercury.
