I have had episodes like that, too. A neurologist told me they are atypical migraines.

I still have issues sometimes with one eye not wanting to focus properly; I find that if I take enough omega3 fatty acids (omegabrite), it gets much better.

It's a scary feeling, wish you didn't have it, too.

.
The flashing lights are also a sign of a detached Retina,

Don't fool around see an eye specialist to be sure it's not that.

No one knows for sure what you're dealing with, so just take this as another story -

I have been able to stop all Lyme eye symptoms by drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory antioxidant juice.

There are lots of brands - I like the Ultra one by Trace Minerals, also Mango-Xan. I drink about an ounce a day.

If you try it, go slowly and drink water also, as it can be powerful.

Before my lyme diagnosis, I was sent from NH to Briggam and Womans Hospital in Boston, MA to run about 9 months of testing. Most of the time was spent looking for a pheochromocytoma that I tested positive for, but while I was there, so other things were going on that didn't make sense.

So the endocriniologist sent me to yet another neurologist that is in research. He did an extresive EEG on me and said that I was having mini seizures and he said in most cases they are associated with "migraine diseae". I had never heard of Migraine as a disease and even with a google search I couldn't find much.

With that said, I do know that I had my eyes checked out by the same docotr that had done my Lasik surgery BEFORE my lyme days and she saw nothing out of the ordinary.

This was MY case and doesn't mean your shouldn't have your checked out. But since I too am on Biaxin and Mepron and Malarone, about every 5 or 6 days I have issues with migraines, bone pain, chest wall pain, rib pain and this squiggley double vision. Sometimes it's worse than others, and not all the symptoms come at once. When they do come at once, I'm not a happy person to be around.

I remember telling my doctor when he said "migraine disease" that I don't get migraines. He said, no, but you get many of the symptoms that go with it, like the messed up vision, trouble with lights, nausea, etc.

This may be something you want to check with your LLMD, but my gutt tells me that you are discussing babs herxing so if that is the case, you are definitely on the right medication. Good luck to you and keep us posted on how you are doing.
