I was wondering how many lyme patiets have done i/v rocephin or other abx and got better? I have heard different stories and I'm sure it really depends on the person, but my llmd wants me to do i/v and I am very nervous about it. Also would like to know how many got better on bicillian shots? thanks Diana

I never did bicillin, but did 10 weeks of IV rocephin and am now on my second week of IV doxy...
I have severe neuro involvement. Unfortunately, it hasn't really helped much. The rocephin got me to driving again, but I only improved about 10% when on it.
I, too, was VERY nervous about the picc line, IV, risk of infection, etc. I have had the picc line in for 6 months and counting...and have had no issues so far...knock on wood!
Good luck with it! A lot of folks on here will tell you that it really helped them. That just has not really been the case with me.
