Hi everyone, It has been awhile since my last posts. I am wondering what I can suggest to my LLMD, the best antibiotic combos.
I got off treatment because of laziness on my part. I need to start back up. Make a phone call to my LLMD, and ask for some new meds, and appt.
He was going to start me on the Rocephin treatment, but because he is long distance, I am opting to do the oral meds again and until I can get to him.
Tested Positive for lyme for second time 2009. First diagnosed in 2001, only given a week of antibiotics. Doxycycline.Western Blot & Elisa tests both positive.

Gosh..that is a tough one as everyone responds differently. Do you have co-infections as well?
I got sick in 2004/5. Was under-treated and then re-infected and either not treated or under treated again.
Finally began more serious treatment end of 2009 and have done well on a combo of Doxy and Biaxin.
Started with Biaxin for about 7 months (full time and then pusling). Took a couple months off and then started on Doxy. Been on 3-400 mg.s of Doxy for about 4 months now and LLMD wants to pulse in Biaxin.
Overall, I am about 60 -70% better, but still dealing with some neuro issues.
I have allergies to alot of abx.s so my choices are limited but my LLMD's says the Doxy/Biaxin combo is a "dynamic duo" for lyme.

Nobody will give you an answer, because everybody only know that protocol, which is working on him or herself!
a combination of antibiotics depends on the infections you have, there is no "one protocol which works great in everybody"
those who have some bartonella as well will tell you that a combo of rifmpicin+azi+flagyl is great..
those who have babesia will tell you that mepron + azi + artemisinin is the best...
etc etc..
you have to know which co infections you have (or suspect) and then pick some antibiotics which you can take together
usually people are taking 3-4 different antibiotics

I think TF has a good well rounded protocol if you are starting from Scratch. I think one of the important meds in the beginning if Flagyl to break up the Cysts. If I started from scratch I would hit Lyme, then Bart then Babs. I know that not everyone agrees with this.

On the topic of combos, does this sound like a good one?
Iv rocephin, rifampin, flagyl (pulsed)
I keep reading that for bart rifampin needs to be combined with something like azith, but I don't know all of the other names of these meds that well.
Thanks and sorry if I should have made a new post.

Any other combo good for bart and lyme?

My LLMD has me taking rifampin, doxy, and tindamax in combo for bart/lyme. Just started about a month ago. Most of my symptoms are neuro in nature. We will see.

I am on Levaquin, rifampin and Bicillin shots and so far... this is the best I have done with the Bart... Lyme too for that matter.
I am on tindamax every other weekend (3 days).
