Saw the new doc in January who ordered Igenex tests as well as Chlamydia pneumoniae and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. He told me to stop the minocycline since it was not helping at all and to come back in 6 weeks. (I was disappointed in the fact I felt like I lost 6 weeks of treatment time... but I am used to that by now). Igenex IgM and IgG results were positive as well as Chlamydia pneumoniae which I found out at my 6 week return appointment on March 10.
Doc has put me on
doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 2 weeks, then increase dose to 200 mg twice daily
cefuroxime 500 mg twice daily
nystatin 1,000,000 units twice daily
Supplements he put me on are
Transfer Factor LymPlus (expensive )
DHEA
Cortico B5-B6
Exhilarin
Co-Enzyme B-complex
E-complex-1:1
probiotic
vitamin C
Does this sound typical or normal for a Lyme treatment regimen? I know everyone is different, but does this look familiar?
This is my fifth day on this regimen, and so far it hasn't seemed to affect me too negatively or positively either way, which I really wouldn't expect to see anything positive anyway at this point.
He told me that when I come back in another 8 weeks, we will "change out" the antibiotics.
It is so nice to have a place to come and ask these questions and reap the benefits of all of the knowledge and experience of the members of this forum... Thank you!!!

I'm not familiar with all of the supplements but if your doctor recommends them then you should try them. If they get to be too expensive, tell your doctor so that they can recommend only the most important things.
The meds are a good start, they will cover you for Lyme and Ehrlichia. Nystatin will help prevent yeast in the GI tract.
It sounds like your doctor is planning on changing your antibiotics soon and will probably address you other coinfections then.
