Has anyone gotten rid of this symptom? even if they are still treating others?
Have anyone had a full work up check my brain, ear everything it could possibly be?
Anyone treat the symptom while treating lyme? What did you use? I am sooo frustrated with symptoms I feel like it increased my anxiety and stress and I feel like I dont want to do things out of fear of the dizziness. I was recently sick with a cold and I noticed its been worse latey.
Could it allergies or something else other than lyme?
Sorry I know I'm waa waa waa ing alot call the wambulance. Its just so annoying and I'm losing it.

My daughter is having the same dizziness symptoms and I noticed she is on the same meds as you, the plaq/biaxin combo. SHe finds it is worse when she overdoes any physical activity.
She just had her first visit with a neurologist and they are sending her to Boston for a tilt table and ANS work up. She also complains of a pulsing aorta that bothers her stomach. Randomly/occasionally. BP readings are fine though.
Anything here sound similar to you?

Well I have read that yeast can cause dizziness too.
So make sure that is ruled out?

It was my first and most debilitating symptom. I had EVERYTHING checked out as causes. The results were all the same - of unknown origin.
The 1st Neuro called it Meniere's (my ears do ring incessantly) and put me on 2mg of Valium twice a day. I freaked thinking 'Valium yikes', but he said it was standard treatment, it's a tiny dose.
And ya know what? It WORKED. I was able to return to land of the living while going through antibiotic treatment. It shuts off the middle ear allowing you to balance yourself if you have issues going on in there.
Have to say, the best duck I saw among the 15 or so that I saw.

Yes all sounds very familiar I hope those tests help her to get a diagnoses that can be treated and she feels better godspeed!!
Penguingirl-I thought the same thing, the only thing is since my diagnoses I had dizziness it only subsided for a very small time and then started up again. I dont know if it could go from LD to yeast being the very same symptom and never changing. you know

I thought I would go crazy from the dizziness, esp when getting in and out of bed. and reaching up to get things(looking up). I saw 4 doctors in my search for treatment, and when I finally went to my LLMD, she asked some questions(hey, imagine that, listening?) and diagnosed me with benign positional vertigo, told me how to fix it, and said it wasn't the lyme. I am completely dizzy-free, after 6 months of suffering!

It's caused by little tiny grains loose in your inner ear. You fix it with a maneuver (i'll look it up in a minute and re-post cause i can't remembeer the name) The maneuver involves hanging your head over the end of the bed, tilting to the side, letting the dizzy subside, then slowly tilting head to the other side. You are moving the particles. It works unbelieveably. I have only had to do it once more since I saw her.

Sorry, I was wrong, Dix-Hallpike is the test. The fix is called the Epley maneuver.

Looking up or down, lying down or getting up, etc. for me it caused severe nausea also. while I was spinning. something worth looking into if that's the type of dizziness you have.

Dizziness was my most problematic symptom before I was diagnosed. I didn't have vertigo. It was more of a 24/7 drunk, drugged, off balance, spacey, tippy feeling....like I was on a boat.
It is gone now...98% of the time. I'm very thankful for that.
Before my lyme diagnosis I was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis. I believe I did have "labs", but later learned lyme can cause it.

Yes, I have completely gotten over it (knock on wood) since starting treatment for babesia.
I had vertigo - got dizzy when I changed the position of my head such as rolling over in bed.
I had ataxia - like being drunk or walking on a ship in rough water. I had the spacey dizzy feeling of "walking off the mountain top into the clouds."
It feels so good to be able to sleep on my left side again. It is gone!

The adrenal glands may play a role too. If they are weak we can get dizziness.
This is of course a whole other separate issue from lyme.
However to balance the adrenal glands helps our get-well strength, as was taught to me by a specialist who healed me of environmental illness back in the early 80s. It really helped me a lot FYI.

Babesia huh? Why has my LLMD been so oblivious to me possibly having babesia? I have air hunger, I had a crazy anxiety/panic attack when I attempted artemisin I have this dizziness that hasnt gotten better, anxiety and pvcs.
At least some of those things can be explained by babesia. He tested my blood negative and muscle tested negative so was convinced I was with babesia.

I have vertigo for 30 years. I was tested with the caloric ENG and found to have an abnormal left side inner ear. THe only thing I lived on was meclizine (like dramamine) and low dose xanax. As someone said valium does the same thing to control vertigo.
Now that I was diagnosed with lyme my vertigo was not longer controlled with the meds. It was unbearable and anxiety set in. That is how I knew someone more was wrong with me and someone told me to test for lyme.
The lyme treatment is a concern for my ear doctors and my LLMD..Most abx cause dizziness so he gives them to me gradually. If I get dizzier I have to stop that one. They ALL can cause major damage to your inner ear hair follicles and then they are damaged permanently. Since you were already treated for lyme this may be the problem. The abx causes the damage.
See an ENT specialist, they will sent you for VRT which is vestibular rehab therapy if the inner ear has been damaged. You gradually do the exercises at home and retrain your brain to balance again. BPPV is just pieces of calcium that moved out of the inner ear. Using those manevers discussed above the therapist can put them back in line and the vertigo is gone.
It is best to let a therapist do it before you try on your own since you can move the calcium the wrong way. Also armour thyroid (which I am on) can cause it if the dose is too high. This is the case if you are feeling anxious and rapid or slipping heartbeat at times. THey will just cut the does in half.
